Jeffrey Warren
Jeff Warren is Vestal’s design director, overseeing graphic design, typography, and information design for Vestal’s web design division.
After working for a summer at Belgian eco-design firm FutureProof/ed, where he studied ecodesign and environmental architecture, he has become obsessed with the idea of using technology to further environmental causes. His work under techno-artist Natalie Jeremijenko in environmental robotics is currently on display at the Cooper-Hewitt, the Smithsonian’s museum of applied and decorative arts. His background is in architecture and drawing, and his work at Yale University (B.A., Architecture) focused on the mapping of objects both spatially and chronologically, as well as on rich data display.
Since the summer of 2006, Jeff has been splitting his time between Vestal and his latest project, Cut&Paste Labs, a social entrepreneurship program to educate students from Lima, Peru in web development and design. The program recruits students into a 10-week paid internship including 6 weeks of intensive web development training.
