Time Zone Check

Here’s a very useful site- TimeZoneCheck.com is the first time I’ve seen someone do a good job of an interactive timezone map. Sure, the fonts could use a little work, but it’s a very nice information display. For example, even though our Lima office is in the same timezone slice as the East Coast, Peru doesn’t observe daylight savings time. Normally I’d expect to see some sort of convulated interaction where you’re expected to hover over different parts of the highlighted piece (a classic “bad” hidden interaction). So now you never have to worry about calling your girlfriend at 4am from Paris again. Not that anyone here has ever done that.
