On our intial questionnaire for clients, we have this question:
What are some of your pet peeves when it comes to web design? Overdone Flash websites? Music? (Those are ours.)
Well, there’s always a website out there to prove you wrong. CoolCapitals.com is all Flash, with background noise, but it’s amazing! Aside from having great graphic design, it’s a fun way of interacting with a site about travel. I’ve surfed way too many travel sites that, despite their superb information, are stuck in the 90s.
My only pet peeve about this site- not enough capitals yet!

agreed! what pixelated fun.
A different pet peeve of mine is geo-illiteracy. Only half of the cities are actual capitals. The others are just large, fantastic cities.

agreed again! A clever bit of fun.
Though yet another pet peeve of mine is a site that resizes my browser!! After instinctually swearing and immediately closing the tab, I took a deep breath, and enjoyed the site..
