Geo + Info Postcards
January 16th, 2007
After filling out about a dozen postcards, each to make up for a Christmas present, I became a little bored with writing the same “Things are crazy here, wow! XOXO” card after card. If only I had found freelance designer Ben Schlitter’s Geography + Information: Distribution Project sooner, I could have saved myself a lot of time.
The Project, available here, consists of four postcards, each a series of questions and boxes highlighting a different aspect of a place: climate, land/water/animals, population/lifestyle, and industry/resources. Just fill out the front, write a little “wish you were here” on the back, and send it on your way.
The cards themselves are delightful, especially in the details: I think “unicycle” is an option under personal transportation. Also, I could watch the whale and raincloud at the top of the page all day.

Here’s a different spin on a “geo greeting”.
