Tutorial: Pop Art Photoshop
November 3rd, 2006
Photoshop is an amazing program, especially if you can ever figure out how to use all the bells and whistles. Nothing is more frustrating than knowing that a program can do a task, but that you can’t compel it to, no matter how many angry hand gestures you throw at it.
So take those smug Adobe engineers down a peg by creating your own Pop Art photos using this simple tutorial. Melissa Clifton explains in two pages how to use black-and-white halftone patterns to create the Lichtensteinian Benday dot effect on any picture. Plus you get to look at Scarlett Johansson the entire time; always a plus.

Gee, thanks for assuming only men are smart enough to use Photoshop. Personally, as a woman who’s smart enough to use Photoshop, there are things I’d rather look at besides Scarlett Johansson. You’ve managed to alienate more than 50% of the population with one thoughtless comment. Good job.

hey! i used your pop art/ dots link and it was SO amazing. it really got me on the kick to want to do more things like this. I saw my friend did a techno-art picture that was so awesome. She could not remember the name of the program, but she said it had something with ‘painter’ in it. I was just wondering if you knew of anything like this. Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Nora Vralsted

Let’s give a big round of applause to the people who were wasted so much of their lives to leave extremely stupid, immature and very badly types comments.
But anyways, the picture is really good! Good job! thumbs up
