In April, the Wearing Change conference brought several exciting speakers to Yale University to discuss sustainable apparel design. Vestal friend Serge de Gheldere of Futureproof/ed gave an illuminating talk on trends in eco-design, discussing the efforts of companies like Freitag, Nike, and Patagonia. In the first part of the lecture, below, Serge discusses his firm and frames the issues facing the planet and eco-designers.
