ISEA – International Symposium of Electronic Art

A Vestal FYI goes out to all of you in the Bay Area. The ISEA Symposium + O1 Festival is in San Jose this week and it’s packed full of interesting talks, shows and exhibitions of ‘interactive art on the edge.’ (There’s so much to do, the website’s design is having a bit of a tough time showing you the info in an easy to navigate manner….oops!?!)

We’re excited that Vestal advisor and longtime friend Natalie Jeremijenko will be showing a few of her projects including the Feral Robotic Dogs and How Stuff is Made. Also exhibiting is a Vestal collaboration with Marisa Jahn. Her Throw-n-sow seed dispensing frisbee can be found at the Global Youth Lounge in the South Hall. We hope that you’ll be able to drop in and check it out!

In an effort to help you navigate this confusing event, here’s the symposium schedule, the event schedule and a map of the installations around San Jose.

Mike's DataNature Print

ps. This evening, we stumbled upon the installation DataNature at Cesar Chavez Plaza. Pictured above is Mike’s DataNature ticket (also in high-res). It’s definitely worth checking out!
