DIY Software Interaction
August 3rd, 2006Developed in NYU’s Interactive Telecommunication Program (ITP), this DIY project enables you to more physically interact with a digital world using little more than a bit of light, a webcam and some free software. (good-bye mouse!)
Here are the ingredients:
- Download Google Earth and Java Software, if you don’t have them already
- Download the Atlas Gloves application (for Windows, Mac, or Linux) [open source]
- Get two flashlights or make some nifty DIY gloves with ping pong balls and LEDs
- Watch the Atlas Gloves Demo
