Packaging has become a major requirement for retail shops. They want easy to stock/easy to store packaging and it has to look great on the shelf. Especially large retail shops like REI. Companies that want to stay in business have to cater to what they want.

If they are trying to be green, why not get rid of the packaging completely? Packaging never make or used is a lot better than recycled and recyclable. It is a compression sack after all, it is packaging itself.

They should be using stone paper! Also know as FiberStoneâ„¢! www.naturalsourceprinting.com This stuff has a carbon footprint that is 1/3 that of virgin paper and 1/2 that of recycled paper! Plus no chemical bleaching, no water, and no trees cut down (did you know that even with recycled paper at least 4 trees are cut down to make 1 ton?!)

check out FiberStone~
