In honor of Percival Lowell’s Birthday, Google has released Google Mars. See the big red planet in three versions: Elevation, Visible and Infrared, or turn on placemarks to locate Canyons and where Spacecraft have landed.

Above: Valles Marineris, the largest canyon in the solar system, is 4,500 km long. That’s larger than the entire continental US!
