Audacity

The Internet is fun to watch because it allows us to witness all the collaboration it promotes and good-will it allows netizens to display. (If you have not yet seen it: check out Wikipedia, the very comprehensive, free netizen-created / maintained encyclopedia.)
The latest collaboration we at Vestal stumbled over is Audacity, a sweet piece of freeware for music recording and editing. While not as powerful as the professional stuff, Audacity is super easy to use and let Mike record his last interview using only the microphone built into his laptop. Awesome!

Do my eyes decieve me? Is that really Audacity for the Mac? Thank God!
I’ve just about had it with Garageband, except for the ‘amazing’ pieces you can create from those ‘wonderful’ loops at 3am in the morning.
Mmm…latin percussion and Norse fiddle, sounds like a good mix.

Wha? I assumed Audacity was only for the mac – it used to be the only decent recording application for os x back when it first came out. Remember those days, when OS X was so young it didn’t even play DVDs?
