The One Laptop Per Child initiative led by Nicholas Negroponte has had a lot of positive press in recent months – and I’m certainly a supporter. However, some have argued for a design which better addresses the increasing problems of electronic waste. Given the quantity of these laptops which will likely be produced in coming years, I see this as a very legitimate concern, and one which Mike Lin brought up last time we discussed OLPC.
