Blenders, Water, and 3D

December 25th, 2005

Blender, an open-source (free!) 3D modeling program, recently released a new version with all sorts of cool features. What really caught my eye though was the result of a Google Summer of Code project: a fully functional fluid simulator! This represents a huge jump for anyone looking to do professional 3D modeling without paying hundreds of dollars. Blender is definitely going in my back pocket for future use.
