Philips founded an autonomous division called Philips Design in 1925, whose role it is “to improve the company’s graphics and image.” They recently released a set of designs under their latest design philosophy, “New Simplicity”, which strives both to improve peoples’ lives and, interestingly, to reduce clutter.
