Some Halloween Spirit

October 30th, 2005

Here’s a little something to put you in the holiday mood. Alek Komarnitsky has put up an interface that allows anyone on the internet to control his halloween lights. He also has a webcam, so you can watch the whole thing. It’s a pretty elaborate setup.

Seems to me the best part of this would be physically being in the neighborhood. With all those lights going on and off (and the deflating Frankenstein on the driveway), the house must look haunted!

    Laura,

Glad you enjoy the Hulk’in Halloween Display. Yea, it’s quite the sight in person to actually watch ‘ol Frankenstein go up and down (he’s actually on the driveway – HULK is up on the balcony) and all the lights flicker. Needless to say, the kids in the neighborhood love it.

    Happy Halloween,
    alek

P.S. This is the warm-up for my Christmas lights – come on by a month or so from now and check that out – you guys appear to be design types, so any user interface suggestions are especially appreciated.
