Biomimicry and Mercedes

September 1st, 2005

I was browsing Poular Science’s September issue only to find an article on an Ostracion Cubicus inspired car. Mike recently posted a great article on the resurgence of biomimicry, which some would tout as being long over due. The beauty of the fish and the article is that they both prove our intuition quite wrong. Who would have thought that this fish and the car inspired by it would be more aerodynamic than the streamlined Honda insight . I personally can’t wait to see a car designed after a water droplet.
