The Future of Energy Efficiency
August 8th, 2005
Thomas E. Kasmer is an engineer who has developed the “Hydristor,” a device he contends will revolutionize modern transportation. The “hydristor,” whose coinage is a combination of “hydraulics” and “transistor”, will supposedly change the auto industry forever by cutting fuel costs, providing more power, and reducing emmisions.
Kasmer says that the Hydristor replaces the transmission and the torque converter in an internal combustion engine, rendering it more efficient than traditional methods. He says coupling a Hyristor pump with a Hydristor motor forms a continuously variable transmission.
...basically, for those of us who DON’T REALLY understand what that means, the device will allow the engine to run at far lower revolutions per minute than now possible to get the power necessary to operate a vehicle.

Is it coincidence that Thomas Kasmer is from Vestal, NY?

Tom Kasmer here. If you want to call me about this, my number is 607-7631607. I will be pleased to explain how this works and why it will change everything. I’ll even
talk to naysayers and skeptics and
try to explain. I have done this alone for 15 years and I’m not going to stop until I fix the future for all the kids. I sure could use some help if you are interested. Tom

just an afterthought, Jessica, you
mentioned the ‘flux capacitor’ in jest. I actually was called by John Z DeLorean about a year ago and he discussed using my invention for a new super car he was to build. I have a memo from John to back this up. Tom Torbjornsen of America’s Car Show spoke with John and can further substantiate my claim. You should play the audio clip on my website
http://www.hydristor.com and Tom says that at the end of the clip.
John was also advising me as to
how I could get the auto manufacturers interested. I am so sorry he has gone and he was the most significant engineer I have ever spoken to. Just a ‘Paul Harvey rest of the story’. regards Tom
