Treehugger covered a prefab home with a modular interior which can be placed by helicopter on top of existing buildings. A kind of “insta-penthouse”, it has 36 square meters of living space and costs $74k. In their words:

The Loftcube takes advantage of unused space on high-rise rooftops: either the landlord can keep it there and rent it, or you can take it with you when you go.
