The American Cancer Society has begun giving out T-shirts – to people in the virtual online world Second Life The idea may have struck them after virtual residents sent in a $2000 check from an in-world charity auction, resulting in some consternation when ACS couldn’t figure out where the auction was held. Some Second Life residents even participated in a successful Relay for Life fundraiser last year. Did they get tired? Anyways, kudos to them.
