This artist-in-residence at the Stanford machine shop (p’raps there’s more than one, but which?) built a bike that walks on wooden legs instead of rolls. It’s still pedal-powered though. Reminds me of the amazing walking machines Bob blogged a few weeks ago. (Link)

in many ways, this looks like the “academic’s bicycle”. The over-analyzed, reinvention of a perfectly functioning design to move technology forward into a laborious, clunky, useless output. walking would be easier.
As an art piece, it’s perfect.

This looks amazing. I’d love to have one of these. So awesome. And the two retards who poasted earlier saying this useless or sucks are just that; retards.
