Reproducing Robot (kind of)

While I was disappointed to find that this robot does not manufacture its offspring, it does assemble them with no central “nerve-center” – as in, each unit acts independently. Researchers “feed” the robot new units, allowing it to assemble new, independent robots. Pretty cool – and the video is incredible. I recommend speeding it up by holding down fast forward.

I have a design that i came up with for a robot that grows, self-improves, and manufactures its own offspring. Also whatever improvements it made to its self repeats in its offspring.
