Cousteau’s Shark Suit

April 6th, 2005

On the subject of robotic suits, Fabien Cousteau, grandson of Jacques, has teamed up with some pretty bold engineers to create a robotic Great White Shark suit, or submersible. It can travel at the cruising speed of a real Great White, 5 knots, and is used in Fabien’s upcoming documentary, entitled Mind of a Demon. He says he got the idea from the Tintin book Red Rackham’s Treasure.
