Wildboyz part 2

Three days back from Wildboyz filming in LA, they called wanting to use my Digigrade stilts, for racing ostriches in Argentina this week. I told them they were a bit too cumbersome and well-polished to be ideal for the wildboyz, and talked them into funding a whirlwind 4-day development and production of some more robust, maneuverable ones. Here are the results, as seen above. All aluminum, with a spring-loaded 4-bar linkage for more bounce to the ounce. Actually, speaking of ounces, these are still a bit heavy, and much of the weight is in the springs. I think we’re gonna try to refine this concept with a carbon fiber spring or something. That is if the stilts come back from Argentina in salvageable condition . . .
