High-Speed Imaging for Motion Analysis
March 31st, 2005There is little I like more than the successful synthesis of art and science, which is why I these photos taken by MIT’s High Speed Imaging Course caught my eye. I mean, how can you not enjoy yourself when you spend the day shooting (non-living) things at high speeds?
The photos are taken by very carefully alligning the desired object with the shaft of a gun and then taking several photos in quick succession with the aid of a high-voltage sub-microsecond flash.
