Now that we keep all our email (don’t you?), isn’t it interesting to think about how much all that data tells us about our lives? Fernanda Viégas has been working on visualizations that do just that.

I’m trying to find software that will enable me to work with companies to chart where each email address on their server gets its email. I’d like to be able to get a report that shows the email address of the recipient and then list, in descending order, the email addresses of those who send that address the most emails. I’d like to do the reverse, too. Start with an email address and then create a list of the email addresses it sent to with the highest volume listed first. Where I might find software to accomplish that task? It would need to be cross-platform.

Hmm, I’m not sure. You might look at xobni.com, which don’t exactly do that but have some good analytic features to extend Outlook.
