Corrugated Goodness

Just went to the newly re-opened Moma in NYC. It was incredible. Not only do they have wonderful design concepts and inspire all sorts of “so thaaaaat’s where that came from” moments, but the Moma is a full $8 cheaper for students (adults clock in at $20) and free for all under 16 with an adult! (hurray for inspiring art at a young age!).

Gehry’s 1987 Bubble Chaise Lounge (pictured above) is just one of the sweet pieces of art to be found. Others include Sven Wingquist’s self-aligning ball bearing (1929) and Sony’s TX 8-301 ‘Back to the Future”-styled Television (1959).
